The Government has advised against all non-essential travel, so please follow the government advice to stay home in order to protect yourself and others.

The Coronavirus pandemic is impacting everyone around the globe, but we would like you to know that we are still operational during this difficult time. Please see below our current advice regarding breakdowns, memberships and European restrictions.


We are still able to renew or set up your membership but we request that you do this over the phone or on the website (tel 0800 371280, We know some of our members prefer to visit our membership office to renew or make changes to their policy, but in the interest of your safety and that of our staff, we ask you to call instead. Don’t forget, you can still post your renewal back to us. Please allow more time than usual for your documents to arrive by post.


The steps below will help you to know what you need to do when you have broken down and need assistance.

  1. Call our control team as normal on 01604 640999

  2. You must inform the operator at the start of the call if you or a member of your household is self-isolating due to coronavirus symptoms (to check if you should be self-isolating, click the link to the NHS 111 service and for general advice click this link

  3. You must inform the operator if you have been in contact with a confirmed case of COVID-19.

  4. When assistance arrives, please keep at least 2 metres away to protect yourself and the recovery agent.

Finally, we ask for your patience and understanding if there are delays or disruptions during your breakdown assistance call out. We are working tirelessly to ensure as little disruptions occur as possible.
